Event Details:

This course will teach advanced techniques for immediate management of esthetic zone, single and multi- rooted teeth in both maxillary and mandibular extraction sites. These master clinicians will present “State of the Art” treatment and preventing complications from their extensive experience over the last 25 years with immediate implants. Digital planning and dynamic navigation surgery provide a paradigm shift in predictable implant treatment for optimal outcomes. Simultaneous crestal sinus elevation along with bone and soft tissue grafting will also be presented. Using live surgery, video library, and hands-on application, participants will learn techniques offering faster healing interval, stable long term results and minimal discomfort. We will share how Cone Beam CT imaging, evaluation of anatomy, appropriate case selection and progressive skill development can avoid potential complications.

Speakers:

Daniel Cullum, DDS

 

Dr. Dan Cullum completed his DDS with distinction at the University of Alberta, Canada and residency training at Westchester Medical Center, New York. Dr. Cullum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on faculty as a Visiting Lecturer at Loma Linda University, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and UCLA, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He speaks internationally and has contributed articles, textbook chapters, and an innovative textbook on minimally invasive implant surgery. At Implants Northwest (Coeur d’Alene, ID), he practices Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with emphasis on immediate and minimally invasive techniques in esthetic implant reconstruction. 

 

Joseph Kan, DDS, MS

Dr. Joseph Kan completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics as well as the Master degree from the Implant Surgery from Loma Linda University School Of Dentistry (LLUSD) in 1997. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the research coordinator for the Implant Dentistry Program in LLUSD. He also maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Surgery.

 

Dr. Kan is on the Periodontology/Implantology Editorial Board of the Practical Periodontics & Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and an associate member of the Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontists. Dr. Kan is one of few clinicians worldwide that had been trained in both the surgical and restorative discipline of implant dentistry. Besides lecturing both nationally and internationally, he has published over 40 articles in reference journals and chapters in textbooks.
