Ridge Expansion and Horizontal Augmentation

Event Details:

Various treatment strategies are used to restore horizontal bone deficiencies for optimal implant-prosthetic

reconstruction including bone grafting with GBR/particulate, bone cores and blocks, as well as ridge expansion, osteotomies and distraction. We will discuss diagnosis, CBCT, treatment planning and technique selection from a patient-centric approach. Technical advances and pearls will be presented to enhance outcomes, prevent and manage complications.

Speakers:

Daniel Cullum, DDS

 

Dr. Dan Cullum completed his DDS with distinction at the University of Alberta, Canada and residency training at Westchester Medical Center, New York. Dr. Cullum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on faculty as a Visiting Lecturer at Loma Linda University, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and UCLA, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He speaks internationally and has contributed articles, textbook chapters, and an innovative textbook on minimally invasive implant surgery. At Implants Northwest (Coeur d’Alene, ID), he practices Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with emphasis on immediate and minimally invasive techniques in esthetic implant reconstruction. 

 

Bach Le, DDS, MD, FICD

Dr. Bach Le completed his specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at USC School of Dentistry and Assistant Director of Residency Education at USC Medical Center. Dr. Le is a published author in numerous scientific journals and has lectured extensively about dental implants and bone regeneration. He has been a featured speaker at several national meetings. A recipient of the Charles E. English Award in Clinical Science for “the most significant article” published in the Journal of Implant Dentistry in 2008, Dr. Le is a Diplomat of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiologist, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
